Palo Alto police arrest 2 suspects linked to massive retail operation

PALO ALTO, Calif. (KRON) – Two people have been arrested in connection with a massive retail crash that occurred in the Bay Area on Sunday evening.

Palo Alto police say suspects robbed two The True True Sunday night stores, one located in Larkspur and the other in Palo Alto.

Central Marin police officers said teams responded to an ongoing window burglary at the Larkspur site around 9:13 p.m. Sunday.

The company suffered approximately $ 250,000 in damage and loss of goods, and approximately 40 suspects were involved in the incident.

Later that night, around 20 cars attempted to break into the Palo Alto site at 11:18 p.m., police said.

A private security guard notified police after seeing around 30 to 40 suspects arrive at the scene.

Palo Alto Police were able to stop a vehicle and found $ 15,000 worth of stolen goods in the vehicle that appeared to have come from the other burglary in Larkspur.

Further investigation revealed that the two suspects had come to Palo Alto with the larger group and intended to carry out another burglary.

Police jailed Keyonni Marie Jones, 20, of Richmond, and Imani Kevyonna Barnes, 21, of Vallejo, in the Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges of attempted commercial burglary and conspiracy, both felonies.

The police are working closely with detectives from the Central Maritime Police Authority on both cases.
